Confederation of Filipino Consulting Organizations Inc.

The Confederation of Filipino Consulting Organizations, Inc. (COFILCO) was formally organized in 1988 as a non-stock, non-profit corporation with the mission to promote and protect the interests of the Philippine consulting industry and enhance the global competitiveness of Filipino consultants.

COFILCO is the umbrella organization of all Filipino consulting organizations recognized by the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) under Resolution 01-99 dated April 16, 1999, to address the need for consultants in government infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.

ABOUT

In 2008, COFILCO celebrated its 20th anniversary. Today, it has seven active Member Organizations: Association of Consultants Civil Engineers of the Philippines Inc. (ACCEP), Council of Engineering Consultants of the Philippines Inc. (CECOPHIL), Council of Filipino Consultants Inc. (COFIC), Construction Project Management Association of the Philippines Inc. (CPMAP), Institute of Management Consultants of the Philippines Inc. (IMPHIL), Philippine Geodetic Engineers and Geomatics Society (PhilGEGS), and Society of Philippine Accredited Consultants Inc. (SPAC). The first six have a combined base of 112 Member Firms, while the seventh has 146 individual members.

OBJECTIVES


The COFILCO Committee on Continuing Education (CCE) is primarily tasked to implement a continuing capacity development program for the members of its member-organizations, including, but not limited to trainings/ seminar/ workshops on government procurement.


Object #1

To ensure that the consultants under its member-organizations are equipped with adequate skill and experience relevant to COFILCO’s consulting industry sectors

Object #2

To ensure the development of the skill or competence of the consultants under its member-organizations

Object #3

To ensure maintain and continually improve an institutionalized program for capacity building of the consultants under its member-organizations.
